Line of Control (LOC) is considered as the most dangerous place in South Asia. Once called as “Paradise on earth” now remains as unsettled and the most debatable dispute in the international diplomatic and political circle.  The beauty of Kashmir lies in its scenic snow-capped mountains which are considered as the guardian angel for the people of the region which paved way for various religions and cultures in the valley.

The standstill of Kashmir valley has continued since the time of partition in 1947.  A number of fights have been engaged by the two nuclear powers of South Asia. But the majority of people from the valley are fighting for self- determination. The beauty of Kashmir has been undefended to great violence and an untimely strained relation between the two countries.  It is also an outcome of neglect, discrimination, suppression of Kashmiri identity, and the power- centric approach of the government of India and Pakistan. It is having an immense impact on the Indian, especially Kashmir and Pakistani economy.

At its height, the 84,471 square mile State of Jammu and Kashmir was even larger than the princely state of Hyderabad at the time of partition. It was ruled by Maharaja Hari Singh who ascended the throne in the year 1925. The division of Jammu and Kashmir can be called the biggest failure of the government of both countries. Initially, the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir wanted to be an independent state but it merged later with the union of India with the signing of Kashmir annexation.  Later Pakistan signed a “Standstill agreement” with Pakistan which allowed the free flow of goods and services from Kashmir to Pakistan. By the mid of September 1947, Pakistan suspended the rail service between Sialkot and Jammu and later logistic services were also blocked by Pakistan. Nehru was adamant to acquire Kashmir but Sardar Patel was of the view that Kashmir should merge with Pakistan. But then things changed when Pakistan accepted the Hindu majority state with a Muslim ruler of Junagadh. Then Hari Singh said, “If Jinnah could take hold of a Hindu- Majority state with a Muslim ruler, Why should Sardar not be interested in the Muslim- majority state with Hindu ruler ?”  As a result the religious color which already plundered Punjab and Bengal, Splashed upon the beauty of Kashmir for once and forever till the present date. Just after few weeks of Maharaja Hari Singh’s Statement, thousands of men with arms, Lorries, logistics, and training from Pakistan army invaded Kashmir. The Indian government was blamed by the Pakistani government that the Indian government aided Pathan Muslims to disrupt the Kashmir Valley. The insurgency moved faster down in Jhelum and Muzaffarabad. The invasion of Kashmir was fully supported by the Prime-minister of Northwest frontier. The Kashmiri Muslim’s alienation was an obvious result of the arrangements of the Indian state. Since 1953 the different advancements in the Kashmir governmental issues viz. Support legislative issues, missing relics, an ideology of self-sufficiency, and so forth all lead to pressures and destruction in the valley of Kashmir which further has prompted rebellion in the district. The revolt or uprising resulted in the unsettling of the community which resulted in the separation, hardship, and undermining their very character, driving than on the way of brutality. The ethnic-nationalistic legislative issues show us a connection between the ethnic personality of the whole network of the area and political developments. It is believed that the very knowledge of abuse, the impression of having interlopers, foes, intruders, and so forth offers to ascend to national cognizance. “Ethnic gatherings are conceived and emerge due to the view of persecution; if there were no impression of mistreatment, genuine or envisioned, there would be no ethnic self-assurance.” Thus, it was the perception of oppression that proved the beginning of the rebellion in the Kashmir valley.

With the infiltration of Afghani and Pakistani terrorists, the year 1993 denoted the start of the third militancy stage wherein ‘Harkat-ul-Ansar’, ‘Harkat-ul-Jehad-Islami’, ‘Harkat-ul-Mujahideen’, ‘Jamial-ul-Mujhaideen’ and ‘Lashkar-I-Taiba’ took cover under one blanket – Jihad Islam. This stage negatively affected the majority and marked the start of the turnaround. The move from Kashmiri Islamic Identity to Jihadi Islam was one purpose behind the decrease in the development. Likewise, the contribution of remote fear-based oppressors who recognized the Kashmiri Muslims as Muslims and not Kashmiris denoted the second purpose behind the destruction. Well, known opposition towards militancy endeavors to recapture Kashmiri control and political roads detonate with the end goal of exchange featured the fourth and fifth period of the aggressor development. It was then the All Party Hurriyat Conference appeared to dispatch the opportunity battle from Kashmir. In 1995, the Kashmir’s most adored holy person Nund Rishi/Sheik Noor Uddin’s hallowed place Charar-I-Sharif was annihilated by the aggressors.

In spite of the fact that the Muslim world media, for example, Dawn and Al Jazeera, alongside western media houses like New York Times and BBC, have reprimanded New Delhi for forcing Hindutva over Kashmiri Muslims, causing tremendous torment and sufferings, has not contemplated that Kashmir is no state in India. The province of Jammu and Kashmir has Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs, and Muslims, where the Muslim populace is living just in the 15% zone of the absolute Jammu and Kashmir. The issue with the end goal that 15% of the land has 53% of the populace and that land has made a circumstance of loathsomeness all through the state. The Government did precisely address by the division of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, and making the halfway more secure regions for human living together increasingly secure.

Kashmir is a part of India and the best solution for the people is to consider and understand that it is India who has progressed in the ranks of the world and is aiming for a 5 Trillion economy in future, and not Pakistan which as in the verge of getting Blacklisted by the FATF (Financial Action Task Force), for its aiding habits in the creation of terror and terrorists in the Asian region. It’s not that we Indians don’t love Kashmiris or we appreciate the State to be in a political mess, instead, we love Kashmir and its culture and would be better improving the economy and representation of Kashmir as the pride of India. The proud Kashmiris have suffered a lot and it is evident enough from the layers of history that aggression has never reached to a feeling of ultimate peace and religious aggression and brainwash brought only destruction to the lives of those propagating and acting on it, and also on the people avoiding and ignoring such intentions. It is well understood that using pellet guns and imposing martial law cannot bring the faith, but when you have been misguided because of your own actions and inactions, you need to give the government some time to bring back normalcy!
